CHALLENGER international (Ci), a literary journal, contains poetry and sometimes short stories and novel excerpts. Editors are especially open to work by teenagers (Ci's mandate: to encourage young writers, and to publish their work alongside established authors), providing it is not sexually explicit, profane, or overly abstract. The editors have published poetry from Canada, continental USA, Hawaii, Switzerland, Russia, Italy, Zimbabwe, South Africa, the republic of Malta, Columbia, Australia, Slovenia, China, Korea, Pakistan, Jordan, Argentina, England, Scotland, and Ireland, and give preference to poetry with clear themes and vivid images. As for fiction: they give preference to stories with vivid scenes and clear characterization and themes.
Ci accepts previously published work and simultaneous submissions.
